Role:
Creative Direction Visual Identity Design Editorial DesignContext: Summer Design Internship at the Vietnamese American Roundtable (VAR)Timeline: Summer 2025* *Project Note: The visuals presented on this page reflect the original design system and art direction I established prior to the end of my internship. Using the system I defined, the final printed publication was completed by the design team.
Defining my Role
Upon joining the design team, Cơm Gia Đình existed merely as a series of family recipes laid out on Canva templates.
Given the short-term nature of the internship, it was established my role would be to define the visual strategy and design system for Cơm Gia Đình, from the typography to color palette to layout design, to be used by the internal team to execute the final production phase upon the end of the internship.
